Little Connected Caterpillar

I literally dreamt this, woke at 4:30am on a Wednesday morning, got up, pet my dog Bobby, and wrote this:

I dreamed about creating new work—work that would be accessible to other humans, that would bring joy and abundance, and that would serve as the physical act of fully awakening into myself. In that dream, the idea of a spiritual awakening became suddenly clear to me. It is not the knowledge of another place, or another god, or some distant heaven—it is the knowledge of me.

It feels apparent that if we truly choose our lessons on Earth, in this life, then we gain understanding of our true selves through the adversity and experiences we select. What we don’t realize, at the start, is the complexity or the length of those lessons. We step into them without knowing how deeply they will shape us.

As we move through our awakening, I’m finding that anxiety and doubt slowly begin to loosen their grip. In their place, clarity, calm, and creativity emerge—and once they arrive, they thrive. It was in this space that the image of a caterpillar entered my mind. We begin as larvae, growing into caterpillars, inching our way forward through each lesson. And when we are ready, we cocoon—retreating inward to prepare for the true being we are meant to become.

Eventually, we emerge. Not as something new, but as what we always were. We shed the shell and step into the beauty of our authentic self. In a way, we prepare to go home—not by leaving this world, but by fully arriving within it.

It’s dawning on me that when we fight our true nature, our purpose, and our path, life becomes heavier. Achievement feels forced. Contentment feels distant. But when we finally embrace what we are—when we stop resisting ourselves—we begin to emerge. We reconnect to what is real.

This life is a playground, made up of hard experiences, glorious moments, quiet reflection, and ultimately, deep connectedness. I feel now that I am on this path, and I want to commit fully to finishing my time here in a way that brings joy, love, understanding, inspiration, and peace—to others, and to myself.

I am ready for the next phase.

I am an open vessel, ready to be filled—with myself.

The journey continues...
